AIC, was founded as response to current affairs within politics, fashion and art. The collective took shape at the beginning of the 'cost of living crisis' and was a direct response to how the rise in austerity was going to affect lower income artists, particularly those from minority backgrounds. Our shows so far have looked at sustainability, uplifting working class creatives, resourcefulness, transness, queerness, self expression, dreaming, the rising rent prices, being made homeless and so on. With charity at heart we have worked to donate to both Manchester South homeless shelter and Mermaids UK. We took a brief break, after I became jobless last year, but looking to get back into creating work for a political agenda. Our past shows have taken submissions from artists across the country, including; photographer's, performers, designers, DJs and so forth. If you are interested in making work, or currently do make work of a political nature please reach out. We are looking towards planning our next show for some time this year, which will take place in London :) https://www.instagram.com/artiscomingcollective
