Another part of my duties at Aspers was responsibility for content creation when the company intranet (“Hive”) was launched. This was hugely successful with regular opening rates of 90% and average staff engagement of over 80% in prize draws. Since the company intranet is for staff we asked them to decide the name of their new intranet and after a lot of ideas ‘Hive’ seemed to fit well with what the intranet concept was; a lot of people/things coming together and sharing in one place. The Beehive was a good way to represent the new ID/logo with rounded edges for a friendly and welcoming feel. For the sense of quirkiness and playful feel I used the san serif font ‘KG Shake it Off Chunky’ to compliment the roundness and fun style of the logo.
