In the middle of nowhere is a fantastic short film of about fifteen minutes. Based on a true story, that of Cordelia Viau, the last woman to be hanged in Quebec, the film tells the story of her thirst for revenge; she haunts Sainte Scholastique, the village where she was executed. More specifically, it focuses on Denise Radclive, François Champagne and Guillaume Taschereau, descendants of her executioner, a prosecution witness and the judge who presided over her trial.
