Audible Podcast

As part of a D&AD design brief, I created an audible cover concept. The fictional podcast was aimed at empty nesters, looking to learn a new language alongside a famous face. I decided Bill Bailey would be the perfect narrator since he’s multi-lingual, comical and popular with the demographic I wanted to reach.

This project lent itself to being illustrative in nature, especially when I had chosen Bill Bailey as the famous face to be paired with the podcast. He’s comical, creative and full personality so a crudely drawn Berret looks almost natural. The earlier iterations featured many more cultural symbols, but I found them to be too much so I decided to strip the cover art back to be more focused on fewer elements.
