Circus Sampler was two free weekends of original contemporary circus, hip hop dance and music performances in the fountain courtyard at Somerset House in 2018 to celebrate 250 years since Philip and Patty Astley pioneered circus in London. The brief was to raise awareness of the programme, ensuring attendance and a diverse audience. The primary goal was audience development in London, reaching culturally disengaged groups and families with children under the age of ten. We created engaging content, which demonstrated the variety and quality of artists at these weekends. Additionally, we ran multiple adverts across Google Display Network and Search Network Ads, as well as Instagram and Facebook. The event advertising on facebook received over 800 responses and enabled the organisation to continue a dialogue with the potential audience for this non-ticketed event.
