"Back On Road", Collaborative Photography Exhibition

"Back On Road" is a 2019 collaboration between a Chicago-based live music photographer, Frankie Vergara (@frankievergara_), and a traveling film photographer (myself - @shotbyhosp). The series pairs my work as a traveling film photographer with Frankie’s work as a tour photographer who shoots digital shots of musicians – it’s a juxtaposition of styles that is meant to celebrate the basic principles of photography and how the compositions with completely different purposes can combine to create a whole new story. All of my shots were collected over the past year in London, Paris, NYC, and Los Angeles, while Frankie has gathered shots from all over the US – mainly in Chicago. The exhibition was meant to launch as a showcase event in Los Angeles, but due to a cancellation from our venue, we were forced to postpone the public release. Fortunately, we were still able to execute an online drop, and the public gallery is scheduled to open in April 2019 in London's East End.
