On noticing there was a gap in the wellness video content market, I came onboard at Balance Festival to create YouTube’s first all-encompassing wellness video channel, Balance TV. My mission was to create actionable and inspirational wellness content that viewers could optimise their own lives with. As most content creators know well, YouTube is the hardest nut to crack. However, I succeeded by creating an influencer-based video platform that had rapid growth. Since its launch back in 2018, videos are hitting 26,000 views and the channel has 2,000 subscribers. By early 2019, we had already began to profit from paid-for content.
