During my final year at college we were asked to pitch for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service annual report. My design focussed on the relationship between the donor and the patient, exploring the human story within the clinical process. While they never meet the donor and the recipient are bound by a precious gift. This connection is symbolised by the plasters received by the donor and patient. I used these tactile elements to illustrate the story. The first introduction to the tactile report is the cover, created using a fabric with a dimpled soft texture on one side and a plastic/waxy texture on the other to replicate the texture of the plasters within.
