Barbican 'Make Concrete Plans this Summer' Campaign

  • Emilie Chen
  • Kyle Bradshaw

The brief was to create a destination campaign for the Barbican to promote the activities happening at the iconic art centre that summer – from outdoor cinema, to the pop up bar by Lakeside. The campaign concept was inspired by a body of work on Childrens Games by artist Francis Aylis, and turns the iconic architecture into a playground, where both kids and adults can come to explore and play this summer. We commissioned illustrator Josephine Rais to create a series of illustrations highlighting key activities and locations around the venue, and I worked with the Barbican in-house team on the campaign roll out.
