Barking up the wrong tree was my final collection at university based around my studies on bark and lichen. The main technique throughout this collection was crochet, however I did use embellishment on top of this, as well as 3D construction techniques for the furnishings.
This was the longest project I have ever worked on so really gave me a chance to get deep into certain areas and keep pushing myself right till the very end- our degree show. The collection evolved from textile art pieces, to products, to furniture, and eventually incorporated all three ideas. After finishing my degree i also showed this collection at New Designers 2017.
