The White Queen is a prime time Sunday night historical drama for BBC One. The BBC needed to launch the show's social platforms and to create daily content throughout the series.
I worked as the lead content creative and project manager for the campaign, creating social assets that both appealed to fans of the popular original novel by Phillipa Gregory and would also attract younger fans to the show.
The design heavy campaign focused around the heartthrob appeal of the show's Edward IV, Max Irons, comparing him to another Edward - that of Twilight fame. I created a series of eyecatching social media imagery and gifs for Facebook, Twitter and a bespoke Tumblr page. I also created a series of Twilight themed pun images around Max Iron and his Edward IV character.
The White Queen trended nationally with three themed hashtags on the night of its TX and the campaign achieved an average Twitter reach of 26 million per episode.
