1. THE JUDGING

All Applicants have until August 21st to answer the brief. All entries will be assessed by the Creative team at Daniel Marks and a shortlist of Finalists will be created. This shortlist is then Judged by a panel of Executive Creative Directors and Marketing Directors from the worlds’ leading Brands and Creative Agencies.

2. THE KEY DATES FOR THE COMPETITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:

July 1st - August 21st - Application Process Open
August 22nd - September 26th - Application Process Deadline Extension
September 27th - Deadline Date and Applications Closed!
Early/Mid October - Winners of Internships Announced and Contacted
From End of October - Paid Internships to Start!

3. THE INTERNSHIP

The winning applicants will be rewarded with a 6 Week Paid Internship, at the London Living Wage of £9.40 per hour – in the Creative Department of a top London Creative Agency or within the Marketing Department of a world leading consumer Brand. This could lead to a formal permanent job offer, or at the very least first-hand experience of the creative and marketing process whilst working on the world’s biggest brands. In conjunction with our partner companies we have been able to secure up to 50 winning positions.

4.THE BRIEF
THE BRIEF – WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for work that shows creative thinking and commercial sense, with three separate pieces of advertising to showcase and sell the brand. This can be supported by a:

- Poster
- Print ad
- Social media piece
- Packaging
- Point of sale
- Bus stop
- Billboard
- Short video as a TV or cinema ad

5. INSPIRATION AND REFERENCES

To get your creative juices flowing here are some great examples of advertising campaigns that cover multiple mediums.

6. TO APPLY

Follow these 4 simple steps:
Step 1: Create a free profile on The Dots (if you don’t already have one) – upload a profile picture and bio
Step 2: Create a project in your portfolio named “Big Bang Competition” and upload your submission:
- A brand name and identity / logo – JPEG or PNG.
- 3 pieces of advertising – these can be sketches, mock-ups or finished artwork. As long as it gets your idea across clearly, we’re happy.
- A case study explaining your idea and campaign. There is no word limit but we suggest no more than 2 pages. Upload when applying – see below.
Step 3: Click apply below
Step 4: Select ‘Attach cover letter’ and upload your case study as a word doc or pdf – no more than 2.5MB
