Birdsong is a revolutionary new fashion brand. They work with talented young designers, use women’s organisations for their manufacturing, and shoot their products on unedited, street-cast models. They’ve been making waves with their no sweatshops, no photoshop promise since 2014, and had features in The Evening Standard, The DeBrief and Observer Magazine in the past fortnight alone. Birdsong targets thinking women aged 25 to 35 who expect more from their wardrobe. In the run up to Christmas, Birdsong are hosting a pop-up concept store in Old Street, 46 Charlotte Road, from the 13th to 19th December. They’re creating the first ‘feminist concept store’ in London, over 1000 sqft of space shared with brands including THINX, Riposte, Polyester, Clio Peppiatt, Ibiye Camp, Katie Jones, Auria, and more. Consumers are becoming more thoughtful about the origins of their products, and how brands speak to them. Millennials want to spend money on brands that champion both them and the workers behind the scenes. Birdsong are reaching out to the best in the field who are already doing just that.
