Met God, She's Black hosted the second annual Black Women's Day of Meditation with the founders of the annual celebration. The day was created by three black women named Elizabeth Boston, Dominique Mobley and Ajia Munns. With the current climate of political chaos, blatant prejudice and Covid-19, the world needs some Black Girl Magic more than ever. Black and Indigenous women along with allies across the world, simultaneously meditated the manifestation of world peace. The significance of having this event the day before Mother's Day was to elevate the awareness of feminine energy as we move towards the celebration of motherhood. Met God, She's Black is a creative house dedicated to defending social justice for the global black community through writing, workshops, art and events such as Black Women's Day of Meditation. The first Black Women's Day of Meditation was held last year on May 10th to eventually affirm the day as an international holiday recognized by the United Nations and European Union. Met God, She's Black held the largest gathering at The Assemblage with writing workshops, breath work sessions, ancestral healing exercises and collaborative artwork.
