Blind Foundation recently underwent the transition to a new name: Blind Low Vision NZ. This culminated as they sought to incorporate the varying levels of sight loss that every one in six New Zealanders experience. Under the direction of my creative and strategy directors, the logo was redesigned with reference to the previous logo, the three circles representing the three main facets to their organisation – blindness, low vision and guide dogs. A visual system was devised to simplify the many communication touchpoints; and in turn engage members, supporters and the general public. Photography was also commissioned to beautifully capture the diversity of their members and their daily lives. Every aspect of the rebrand was designed to AAA accessibility standards.
