Blue Elephant Tea

My dad approached me with a business idea for a tea company, that would source its leaves from Indian tea gardens. We worked together on developing a name and discussing the market he wanted to reach. After talking with him, I was deeply inspired to create what Blue Elephant Tea could be and wanted to explore how to make something fun that could appeal to a premium market.

I created three different flavour variations to display how the identity of Blue Elephant Tea would be transferable across a range. The elephant itself became a motif for me to play around with and exaggerate to communicate the flavour of each tea. At the beginning of this project, I created three different concepts, two of which were more typical of the tea market and inspired by brands such as 'Pukka'. My third concept was a wild card, that was much more playful and illustrative in nature. I took this third concept and developed it into the Blue Elephant Tea displayed here.
