The National Saturday Club offers 13–16 year olds across the UK the opportunity to study creative subjects that inspire them at their local university, college or cultural institution, for free, every Saturday morning. In 2019, while working as Special Projects Assistant to John Sorrell, co-founder with Frances Sorrell of the National Saturday Club, I managed the delivery of a charity auction hosted by Bonhams, London, to raise funds for the ongoing development of the Club's national network and programme. Over the period of a year, I liaised directly with artists, studio managers and Bonhams Post-War and Contemporary Art department. The total funds raised at the auction, held at Bonhams, Bond Street in October 2019, were close to £200,000, with lots contributed by Frank Auerbach, Bridget Riley, Antony Gormley, Edmund de Waal, Phyllida Barlow, Richard Long, Gerhard Richter, Barnaby Barford, Mark Titchner, Fernando Casasempere, Shezad Dawood, Tess Jaray, Tom Price, Jennifer Lee, Garry Fabian Miller, Michael Young and Charlotte Verity.
