‘Branding a nation for the Olympics’ was a uni project that I very much enjoyed working on. Partly because I am Turkish, and this really allowed me to dig deep and add enough metaphorical references into my design as I wished. The logo and every aspect in the deisgn including the logo and pictograms, is considered upon a single shape that I formed by drawing around the 7 hills on the map of Istanbul, something it is famous for geographically. The colour scheme symbolises the magical blue bosphorus linking the two continents (as it very effectively represents the spirit of the city), and the vibrant energy that never fades.
