I’ve been a creative all my life. I learnt in my twenties that yoga was incredibly useful in helping me manage the creative chaos that constantly resided in my mind. Now in my forties it has become invaluable in building strength, mobility and boosting my physical and mental wellbeing during a time of transition in life. To build on my existing yoga experience, I wanted to learn from the best. I’ve studied at the Yoga Teachers College and secured the YOGABODY’s professional qualification under the renowned Lucas Rockwood. It has been a hugely transformative experience. After practicing many types of yoga I’ve realised that I’m particularly passionate about Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Restorative yoga. These yoga variances are particularly connected to the relationship of breath to movement which in turn stimulates or calms the central nervous system. Building strength in body and mind, releasing tension, reducing anxiety and inducing joy, reflection and contemplation. Meditation in motion. Everything that has helped me over the last couple of years. There's evidence that regular yoga practice helps people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains (including lower back pain), depression and stress.
