British Council Creative Thinking App

The British Council are on a mission to help students master 21st century skills in a fun and meaningful way. This begins in the classroom, and ensuring teachers have all the knowledge and tools they need to support their students. With this new educational app from the British Council, teachers can discover methods to encourage creative thinking and collaborative problem-solving in their classrooms by moving through a simple, interactive story. After winning a pitch to develop the animated content for the app, Manchester-based creative studio FLOW brought me in to help shape the language and write the story. As a potentially complex branching narrative (choose your own adventure style), the challenge was to keep it simple but characterful. I worked with the team to script the animations and voiceover content, developing a friendly and reassuring tone of voice to complement the playful visual style. The app was initially rolled out with teachers in India before launching worldwide.
