Broadwick Soho, Music Curation & Account Management

  • Simon Eltringham

London’s most flamboyant square mile finally has a hotel that glitters like Soho at its most theatrically fabulous. Designed by showman-in-chief, Martin Brudnizki, Broadwick Soho is his first full hotel design in London. Along with the project’s ring-master Noel Hayden, who grew up in his family’s former Bournemouth hotel, the whole is something of a love letter to the days where Martini’s were always served correctly, everyone dressed for dinner and flashy magic shows topped off the entertainment. The sense of performance pervades throughout, from the name in lights on the exterior to the Elephant-shaped minibars and of course, maximal curated soundtracks that underpin the atmosphere from space to space. . Arrive for Aperitivo time in Bar Jackie, then head below ground as restaurant, Dear Jackie, serves up a west-end show of diverting dining with the chef’s glimpsed through heavy velvet curtains. For the encore, staff in leopard print jackets serve shaken libations from your ring-side seat, looking out over a glittering jewellery box of city lights up in roof-top hotspot, Flute Bar. . If you’re yearning for a hotel where you can dress up and loosen up, this spot has got to be top of your list.
