BROWNS FASHION X HOMECOMING DIGITAL 2020

  • ANGELA BAIDOO

Luxury Fashion retailer Browns Fashion has partnered with Cultural Curator Grace Ladoja to bring her Homecoming festival from Lagos to London. Started in 2018, the Lagos-based festival spanned 3 days and aimed to shine a light on homegrown African talent. The festivals agenda encompassed music from Afrobeats artists, streetwear pop-ups, and a football tournament that would see teams from the diaspora pitted against local 5-a-sides. This years festival, like so many others is taking on a virtual guise, with expert panel sessions discussing everything from the rebirth of streetwear to visual identity (all available on the Browns Fashion YouTube channel). As part of the festival the retailers Shoreditch outpost Browns East will host the collections of ‘emerging and established designers from Nigeria and around the world’ - from Tokyo James, to Motherlan, Vivendii, Orange Culture and Mowalola.
