The Cabbage Patch Bakery is a small, mighty and ambitious artisan bakery in Leeds, UK. They specialise in supplying jaw-dropping cakes for special occasions, as well as rolling out brownies and cupcakes, too. Their cakes are adapted to a variety of dietary requirements. Diabetics, Allergy sufferers, vegans and those with digestive intolerances can all find the cake of their dreams sitting in the Cabbage Patch recipe book. CPB needed a writer that could develop a tone of voice from scratch. Someone who could craft a voice as fun as cake, grounded in their Yorkshire roots. Because a call-to-action should never be dull. Using my famous Word Garden Branding Quiz, I gathered all of the secret ingredients that made CPB what they are. I developed site-wide copy that was engaging & informative with a proper Yorkshi’ lilt. The result? From 18 single page visits per month, to an average of 60 visitors per week. A 300% rise in click-throughs. A load of customer compliments about the copy. A very happy Business Owner. Oh, and Christmas was a cupcake sell-out
