Call for Merit

  • Punyaruk Baingern
Despite the increasing number of registered organ donors, the actual donations remain low as families often refuse to call Red Cross to pick up the organs of the deceased donors. It is due to the superstition that giving aways one's organ will make him become a cripple in his next life. However, Thai people also believe in the idea of doing good deeds to gain merit although most modern people are often too busy to make merit while they are still alive. Therefore, we chose to promote the act of calling Red Cross as helping a dead loved one to perform the last merit in his life.
