'Candid Talks' Blog

During my first year of 6th form, I founded my own blog called ‘Candid Talks’ on Wordpress, where I write opinion pieces on society and politics, surrounding topics such as institutional racism, Islamophobia, sexism and political corruption. As my first ever venture into the field of journalism, my blog has given me the opportunity to experience the whole process of planning, researching, writing and editing my own articles, as well as designing and promoting my blog’s web pages. It has also allowed me to develop my own personal portfolio of journalistic work.
