Cannes in a Van is the ‘four-wheel film festival’ that takes independent film to the heart of the Cannes Film Festival & beyond...
The idea was born out of a druken conversation between two friends who wanted to organise a few guerilla film screenings at Cannes, one of the worlds most elite film festivals.
Over the course of six years, the little yellow van screened an eclectic mix of film, animation and music videos including BAFTA winners and Oscar nominees, launching an international indie film awards (The Van d'Ors sponsored by Ford) and monthly Music vs. Film night (Screen Social).
As of 2018, co-founder Andy Greenhouse still hopes to take the van back on the road and meet independent creators from around the world; if you're interested, best to get in touch with him, you will not regret the potential opportunities, trust me!
