  • Samantha Keon
30 million tourists descend on Barcelona each year, vastly outnumbered, 1.6 million residents are struggling to continue daily life in their city. At PAH Barcelona, Santi volunteers tirelessly to helps his fellow citizens fight for housing rights amongst ever increasing levels of evictions. Meanwhile, at home Santi faces his own battle as his landlords convert his building into tourist apartments.

My first short film, 'Casas sin familias' was sponsored by Tourism Concern. Since its creation it has been shown at conferences in Europe and Brazil and led to me being asked to speak before the European Young Leaders Seminar as they brainstormed legislative changes in the travel industry.
