Cascade | Raising Geometry
Raising Geometry is the first collection of Cascade studio. Graphic in shape and structure, it consists of a series of fully functional mirrors that enhanced by electricity transform into contemporary light sculptures.
Merging natural wood, glass and light, the collection draws inspiration from the classic, mid-century modern design. The simplicity of the form fused with striking colour visually reference the retro style, while the geometric neon structures, repeating their reflection through a seemingly endless space, transform each piece into a three-dimensional light picture that baffles viewers’ senses and perception.
I run the Cascade studio together with two business partners. Initially my responsibilities on this particular project included product development and production management from design and sourcing the manufacturers through to testing and final built of the objects.
Later on I have embarked on art diecting the look and feel of all marketing and promotional materials including sourcing the photo shoot location, directing photography and content creation.
Cascade is a contemporary design and manufacturing studio, specialising in limited edition decorative art, furniture and lighting.
Working with skilled craftsmen, we focus on handmade fabrication, high quality materials and processes to produce a refined collection of well-crafted and artfully designed objects.
