CONNECT, COLLABORATE & CREATE (2015/2016)
Some of my favourite words! Therefore, I loved the opportunity to develop, promote and coordinate the social design project I labelled C3 Diversity to provide a platform for creativity, knowledge, entrepreneurship and research. The project proved the importance and relevance of creative (unexpected) encounters and enabled designers to research new ideas and perspectives that can contribute to a sustainable development of the design industry. C3 truly demonstrated diversity rooted in creativity and imagination, and brought together design narratives of individuals from different backgrounds creating lasting friendships.
C3 Diversity is a project in which the visions of Made2Measure (Maastricht University), Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts & Design (MAFAD), the incubator Forza Fashion House Maastricht (FFH), the international fashion platform FASHIONCLASH, London College of Fashion (LCF) and six different designers connect, collaborate and create. The aim was to challenge the creative industries and to build a lasting relationship with creative minds and entrepreneurs around the world.
The project was part of the Maastricht Conference on the Cultural and Creative Industries (MCCCI) and included a two day development programme, exhibition and presentation of the drawings, prototypes, and final designs to the public.
