I had the idea for Citizen for some time, but it was meeting lead actor Deli at a BAFTA event in London that cemented it for me. I wrote the first draft, pictured here, in October 2018, about a month later.
Actually discussing and definitely not posing with lead actor Deli. The film was shot in my flat (shocker) and including cast we had about 19 people work on the film, 12 on set and 6 in the post process (including two voice roles).
Me and Louis, cinematographer, obviously posing for BTS stills. Citizen was shot on the RED Epic with Arri Ultra Primes (20mm and 50mm). Budget limited lens availability, but shooting with two focal lengths turned out better than I expected.
