ELFREDA’S CLAN CHRONICLES “Aso Ebi" is a uniform dress that is traditionally worn in West African cultures as an indicator of cooperation and solidarity. The purpose of wearing the dress or fabric can be to serve as self-identification with age mates, relatives, friends and chosen family during social occasions. Clan Chronicles is a series of art campaigns by Elfreda where the spirit behind Aso Ebi is reimagined. They are presented as a kind of fashion film and documentary fusion. It highlights how the concepts behind the brand connect with and are expressed through various groups and individuals using recycled materials to push the agenda of fashionable and artistic sustainability
