Climate Classroom is a project which offered the chance to ‘critique and improve your classroom in relation to the climate emergency’ through the acts of learning and teaching (brief written by Abbie Vickress). In the teaching element of the project, I created a four-part audiovisual animation series which intends to raise awareness about the climate catastrophe by identifying domestic hot water use as a significant contributor to CO2 emissions and offering cold showers as a simple solution. Using gradients to portray the rising of heat in the body, or the loss of heat in the tap, the videos combine spoken instruction with visual queues to aid accessibility.
