COMMUNITY HEALING (Policing, Trauma and Activism in Hackney)

What can we learn from elders about the struggle for justice? What are the roots of our problems with police? COMMUNITY HEALING is a youth-led project created to inspire more dialogue, understanding and learning, between different groups in our community; Hackney. Produced in collaboration between Account, The Plug and Hackney Archives. For our pilot we look at theme of police brutality. We have Janice Knight representing not just a generation but a time where Hackney was a very different place, as compared to today, with David Smith (Head of Research at Account) representing the current reality of Hackney today.
