Consent campaign

  • Mark Harrington

This was a police campaign to prevent sexual assault and educate people that without sexual consent, it’s rape. Artwork for the campaign was displayed in bars and clubs, on an outdoor digital advertising board and social media around Hampshire. For the design I chose bold and vibrant colours with a dark presence. Using provocative images and large type reinforced the message further. I needed to show the seriousness of rape and without an element of risk, the message is diluted and instantly forgotten. One poster included the tagline in different languages as the target audience included young males of all nationalities.
