Coronavirus Instructions for Men

The final outcome for this project is a concept storyboard. I have designed characters, colour palette, font, scenery and story. The animation will take the audience (men aged 19-24) on a journey from indifference to awareness. The tone of the animation is light-hearted and fun, quickly moving to creepy and grotesque. The animation comes across as humorous throughout but the underlying message is very serious. The aim is to make the audience realise that they are not immune to coronavirus, there’s nothing stopping them from catching it and they are far more likely to if they don’t adhere to lockdown rules like social distancing. Based on my audience research and the platforms they use regularly, my animation would be produced as targeted adverts on Instagram and YouTube.   Going forward this animation could be the first in a series of adverts surrounding the government guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic.
