Coronavirus Tech Handbook

  • Abi Silvester

A Nesta-backed digital repository of technology responses to the pandemic. Developed by Edward Saperia and Nathan Young of Newspeak House college of political technologists, the handbook is designed to crowdsource information about the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus outbreak. It features a wide range of specialist sections, from remote working and volunteering and mutual aid to medicine and care. So far it has already helped: - UK doctors to advise doctors in Ecuador on how to develop safe personal protective equipment (PPE). - mutual aid groups in the UK to share ways of organising volunteers and their finances - the exchange of dashboards to store and interpret crucial data relating to coronavirus. I contributed to this project by creating social media content and copy, community management and copyediting on a volunteer basis.
