Couture D’état, a radical fashion zine, poster set, and street art series which encourages people to dress with their own individual style. Targeted at the masses of people who lack the courage or confidence to dress creatively or divert from trends - fashion victims if you will. A provocative series that asks the viewer “Why are you wearing what you wear? Do you really like it? Is this how you want to be seen?” Allowing the reader to reflect and come to their own conclusion. This satire will focus on appropriating totalitarian propaganda used stripping them of their fascism and flipped on their head to inspire freedom of expression and individuality. Utilizing the creativity of fashion illustrations to encourage people to their own create fashion fantasies and vibrant styles. Further inspiring and educating the masses on style icons who stood up for individuality and show diversity in self-expression as role models.
