Creativity Works: Visual Storytelling was an intensive 5 week programme, co-designed with Magnum Photos, for the next generation of image makers.
This intensive course sought to equip London’s young creative talent with the connections, skills and knowledge to progress in their careers. Over a five-week intensive course, participants investigated the power of digital imagery with Magnum Photos - global leaders in photography. Through a range of practical workshops and activities, group crits, seminars and guest talks, fifteen young Londoners developed their own visual language and the skills required to understand photography’s ever-changing marketplace.
Working in teams, trainees developed a body of work for exhibition, responding to a live brief developed with It’s Nice That. Guided along the way, trainees gained insight from creative professionals and London-based collectives.
The group on the course have now formed a collective named OneFive, focusing on photography, boosting each other's creativity, and providing a safe space to embrace failure by building a culture of creative exploration. A "Fail Safe Space". Their new Zine, Assigned By, will involve them receiving briefs from creatives that inspire them.
