Creator / Guest Editor, The Florentine Guide to Pitti Uomo (18 Page Supplement)

  • Amelia O’Mahony Brady

In collaboration with editor-in-chief Helen Farrell and director Marco Badiani, I conceived, curated and penned the contents of this Pitti Uomo guide; The Florentine’s first stand-alone fashion supplement, published during Florence’s internationally-acclaimed, menswear trade fair / fashion week. Devised to showcase the Tuscan capital beyond its tourist tracks — offering Pitti-goers a unique, sartorially-charged lens through which to explore Florence — the colour-popping, 18-page supplement encompassed a variety of segments, including: “Artisanal Picks for Your Pitti Wardrobe”, spotlighting a host of inventive, independent designers; “Museums to Inspire Your Lookbook", an alternative, sustainable take on new-season trend guides, informed by Florence’s most idiosyncratic museums; and “Style Savants”, in which two fashion trailblazers and adoptive Florentines share their favourite, (formerly) secret spots for Shopping, Dining and Admiring.
