Fashion Editor, Dress ResearcherDublin, Ireland
About me
Amelia O’Mahony-Brady is an editor, researcher and emerging curator of dress, currently based between Dublin and Milan. Her 5+ years of experience in magazine editing and freelance writing, principally working with Irish and Italian publications (Totally Dublin, The Florentine, The Sunday Times etc) are shaped by eclectic, colourful explorations of fashion, examining the latter’s relationship with art, performance, culture and heritage. Recently trained in collections management and care, she is currently embarking upon a dress research sabbatical whilst cutting her teeth in curatorial practices.

  • Creator / Guest Editor, The Florentine Guide to Pitti Uomo (18 Page Supplement)
Creator / Guest Editor, The Florentine Guide to Pitti Uomo (18 Page Supplement)In collaboration with editor-in-chief Helen Farrell and director Marco Badiani, I conceived, curated and penned the contents of this Pitti Uomo guide; The Florentine’s first stand-alone fashion supplement, published during Florence’s internationally-acclaimed, menswear trade fair / fashion week. • HEMLINES Creator/Editor, Totally Dublin (2018-2020)
HEMLINES Creator/Editor, Totally Dublin (2018-2020)In collaboration with editor-in-chief Michael McDermott and art director Lauren Kavanagh, I conceived and introduced “Hemlines” — a snappy two-page segment, dedicated to colour-popping design talents and sartorial newsflashes — alongside a thematic re-fresh of the magazine’s lengthier fashion features. Unleashing creative control across these spreads, my editorship of HEMLINES afforded me an unrivalled chance to explore diverse, interdisciplinary approaches to fashion, critically but accessibly
