In collaboration with editor-in-chief Michael McDermott and art director Lauren Kavanagh, I conceived and introduced “Hemlines” — a snappy two-page segment, dedicated to colour-popping design talents and sartorial newsflashes — alongside a thematic re-fresh of the magazine’s lengthier fashion features. Unleashing creative control across these spreads, my editorship of HEMLINES afforded me an unrivalled chance to explore diverse, interdisciplinary approaches to fashion, critically but accessibly exploring its rapport with art, performance, exhibition-making, culture and heritage. This ethos was complimented by Totally Dublin’s enduring status as Ireland’s foremost cultural independent print.
