cu-nt

  • Jacob Sutton
There isn’t a word in the English language that has as much power or gravity given to it than the word cunt. It’s a word that seems to cut through any sentence, creating verbal, horrid full stop, shocking most of the ears that have heard it. However, the word has evolved to become a term of endearment amongst friends in Australia, and has gained popularity among social groups around the U.K. I wanted to explore the history of the word cunt and to investigate how the same word is used in such vulgar manners and also ways of affection. I wanted to reflect the different ways it is used typographically, bridging the harmful and the endearing nature the word cunt has.
