Central Library
Research, Curating Art, Exhibition Design
This is a research project on children’s book illustrations of late 19th-century among the rare book collections of the Central Library. I worked as an assistant curator in the Central Library and my research project culminated in an exhibition held from 5th to 28th April 2016 in the staircases. It displayed works by eminent illustrators: Walter Crane, Kate Greenaway, Raldolph Caldecott, Arthur Rackham. Exhibition content emphasised on the aesthetic progression that led to the children’s books as we know them today. The goal of bringing a designer touch to the Central Library? Check!
