To fulfil a life-long ambition, I teamed up Relentless with Gibson guitars to create a signature SG Relentless guitar. The standard SG is the best-selling Gibson of all time, played by the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Angus Young and Tony Iommi. I created an anatomical illustration for the body of the guitar which continued onto the scratch plate. The guitar was then painstakingly customised by Gibson’s Sam Walker who hand cut the pearl inlays, photo-etched the stainless steel scratch plate and replaced all the hardwear with matt black versions. The guitar competition was promoted heavily in the music press and attracted many new members to our online community for a chance to win it. The instrument was on display at the Relentless Garage in London where it was signed by numerous artists.
