Cut Context #1: Persona 5

  • Geoffrey Bunting

I decided to reissue one of my videos, Noise Machine, as the series in which it is place evolves. Some folks have seen it, but if you haven't and you're interested in contextual design (which all designers should be, really) here's another push to look at it. Pixel Perfect is a series that examines the contextual design in media. In Noise Machine: Persona 5, Noise, and the Accessibility of Beauty we examine Persona 5's art direction and graphic design through a contextual lens. We trace its history through punk's influence on Japan, examine the accessibility failings of the game, and consider how well Persona 5 translates historical imagery to a modern setting. Liking, sharing, and subscribing help the channel so... do that.
