Brief
Take a cause you believe in and use the power of type to make a difference. Design with typography to agitate, educate and organise the world and your audience.
The aim for my campaign "DoYouMindTheGap" was to develop an integrated solution to raise awareness of the gender pay gap.
Even in 2017 women get paid 20% less on average than men in the same roles. So I wanted to create a type which illustrated just how damaging the gender pay gap is.
20% of the alphabet equates to five letters, so, by removing the vowels I could create a set of posters symbolising the damage the deficit had on our economy without hindering the message.
