Davines - Portraits of People

  • Sean Collymore

Portraits of people” is a long-term cultural journey, aimed at representing the evolution of how women express their personality through the hairdressers’ interpretation of their hairstyle and hair colour and going beyond hair. Davines expresses creativity merging hair and concepts, going beyond the here and now to portray the most intimate element of human being, the one that is not affected by style choices or momentary situations, but anchors to our most unchangeable and sacred essence, namely our soul. Using an authentic approach to express the natural beauty and realness of each women creating a different “voice”. Inspiring a new stories for stylists to engage their salon clients. I was commissioned by Davines to help with the Creative Direction to keep the esthetic and brand equity for the video shoot. Workign closely with Davines head office based in Italy, xxxxx Shot on a mixture of old and new formats - Super 8 and Arri Alexia Mini. These four looks were envisioned by Davines Hair Art Director Tom Connell.
