NIKE FORWARD THINKING: Meet Sasha. Producer, psychological practitioner and all-round creative, trying to implement sustainability across all sides of her work.
Kluvitse comes from an extensive academic background having studied and worked in mental health. These experiences have instilled a deep understanding and appreciation of the human psyche alongside her ideas on how to enact radical change. This is reflected in her creative work as a Project Manager and multidisciplinary Producer.
Her early work with Boiler Room (LOW HEAT, SYSTEM) spotlights next gen cultural artists breaking new ground locally and globally, and looks at what’s next for their position in the music industry.
Shifting perspectives to 4:3, Kluvitse worked to support the launch of the Netflix of the Underground with a new series of experimental cinema nights. The inaugural event led by punk choreographer Holly Blakey, In Everything: is Choreography involved a diverse cast: filmmaker Clayton Vomero, model, writer and activist Naomi Shimada, rapper Naeem (fka Spank Rock) and six dancers performing live.
Next up, AFROFREQUENCY, a new season curated by JENN NKIRU aimed to shift the mainstream gaze of Afrofuturism and return it back to the source of it all: the frequency, the expression. The intimate evening featured Miss Janelle Monae in-conversation exploring ideas of identity, womanhood, art, music and blackness, a screening of Monae’s emotion picture, DIRTY COMPUTER as well as meditation and poetry by Belinda Zhawi, DJ sets by BORNNBRED and BBZ London. Hosted by Zezi Ifore.
Fearlessly targeting global issues, current power structures and injustices, Kluvitse's work with Everpress brought together 50 leading names across art, fashion, design, music and activism to support the community-led organisation Justice4Grenfell following the Grenfell Fire in 2017. The event and exhibition saw her curatorial debut and celebrated an ethos that centred community, human connection, and musical movement powered by Touching Bass. Here, the infusion of creative output fostered interactions with intentionality, demonstrating visibility and solidarity in the fight for justice.
Kluvitse’s practice also explores positions in the diaspora and British society via cultural projects; the AFROPUNK London Street Team (2017) made up of AFROPUNK purists and creatives brought awareness to issues of social justice translating their ideas into positive action, ‘Take Flight’ with FlockTogether (2021), a birdwatching collective for people of colour, celebrated the innovation of UniQlo’s AIRism, and WHERE THE HE.ART (2024) by Stephen Akinyemi, in collaboration with the British Fashion Council, articulated the black experience and identity through the lens of film and photography.

SASHA KLUVITSE SITS DOWN WITH QUALIFIED PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING PRACTITIONERS (PWPS/CBT THERAPISTS) ANDREANA KAKOURIS AND EILEEN WILLIE-PEPPLE. DISCUSSING THEIR JOURNEYS IN PSYCHOLOGY AND MENTAL HEALTH; STUDYING, TRAINING AND THE REALITIES OF WORKING IN THE SECTOR IN LONDON. OFFERING INSIGHT INTO THE PROFESSION AND DEBUNKING COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS AND MYTHS.
Further drawing on her background, Kluvitse strives for visibility for underrepresented voices and aims to showcase mental health from a positive health perspective, sparking dialogue that normalises difference. This had led to works in collaboration with NHS England, Open Door Young People’s Service, Trippin and Black Lives Matter.
Kluvitse led the research Purposeful travel and the creative traveller in partnership with UCL and co-edited the published report Future of Travel Report (2020) that aimed to inform policy on the future of sustainable travel beyond being purposeful, environmentally, socially and economically minded. A new framework was also proposed to consider the travellers' positive cultural exchange with the visiting country and local people. Lastly, the report called for travel industries to adopt inclusive solutions that consider the intersectionality (race, class and gender as interlocking systems of oppression) of the traveller and the impact on safety, physical and mental health, if ignored.
Hosted by Soraya Stuart from Black Minds Matter UK, Sasha Kluvitse lead researcher and contributing editor, Joycelyn Longdon founder of Climate in Colour and AI researcher at Cambridge University, and Lydia Dinga expert travel content creator, sat down to dive into the key themes of the report.

Recently, Kluvitse has focused on world-building in fashion working exclusively with international Hairstylist slash Hair Engineer slash Crown Designer Cyndia Harvey across London, Paris and Milan fashion weeks since 2022. Including shows for Nensi Dojaka, Simone Rocha, Tod's, Diesel, Louis Vuitton, JACQUEMUS, Supriya Lele, Giambattista Valli, Wales Bonner, Bianca Saunders, Mugler and Mowalola.
Sasha Kluvitse’s mission is to continue to offer new perspectives and spark positive change through psychological therapy, research, live events and new experiences.
