In the process of planning my degree show exhibtion, I am focusing upon the tradition of painting and turning it on its head. Much of my work is influenced by High Modernist or Minimalist painters, particularly the materials they use. Thus, in my practice I aim to evoke a sublte reference to these painters and movements, however transform them into the contemporary realm, and further challenge the progression of painting and how far it can be pushed.
