Degree Show - Graduation Project

Intrigued with the idea of the 'viewer experience' I focused on site-specificity, the process of making and the form of the human body through the details and surfaces of the skin. I wanted to create a sculpture viewed from all angles and therefore had to sustain a sensitivity and thoughtfulness as to the site and situation of my work. I aimed to translate the imagery and details of the human body though three-dimensional forms. The individual elements coming together in the masses to create something new, an organic sculpture, taking on the nature of movement, although effectively still, as if it were spreading or growing along the plinth.
